Rainy Days
In an effort to clean up large parts of Terre Haute, the weather gods dumped 9 inches of rain in one night. Their bold strategy paid off, as much of Terre Haute, West Terre Haute and surrounding areas were flooded. Hundreds of homes and businesses have huge damage from the water. It is unbelievable.
I have tons of flooding pictures, but these were a few that jumped out at me when I looked back over them. This is not the best time to be an insurance agent (what loser wants to be in the insurance business anyway?).
Check out the bridge out by our property in St. Mary's. I think it's safe to say that we won't be using this road for a while.
Now, we've all heard the saying, "When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade".....but what does it say about getting 9 inches of rain? Well, when you live in Toadhop and life gives you 9 inches of rain and a house that is underwater, you don't make lemonade, you tailgate with your buddies and drink lots of beer. (see the picture below --- notice the chick in the bikini top).
