It was another good (and cold) year at the NCAA Cross Country Championship. I had a great time and got to catch up with a lot of people while watching the Oregon men's team and Sally
Kipyego run away with the races. Sally beat the next closest runner by 38 seconds last year. This year, she stopped for hot chocolate and then knitted a sweater and she still won by about 10 seconds. This is her third straight title.
The Bird-Gibson course has the race locked up again next year, but after that it is up for grabs (as the NCAA hasn't made a decision on who will host). If you've never seen it before, you owe it to yourself to come out and watch next year. It's pretty amazing!
