The Natural Retires

The latest sad news from the UFC is that current Heavyweight Champion Randy "The Natural" Couture has retired.

It's unfortunate to see this, but understandable.

Randy is a 44 year old stud who has dominated the majority of the younger (and favored) fighters recently.

Sarah and I went to Randy's gym the last time we were in Las Vegas.

This will only add to the excitement of our trip to UFC 77 next weekend, where we'll watch two of the heavyweight contenders fight. Former champion Tim Sylvia will be fighting Brandon Vera. Sylvia is a monster at 6' 8", but Vera is a good size guy too. It should be a good fight.
