"Born For This" Book Review
I just finished reading the book, "Born For This" by Chris Guillebeau. The book focuses on finding work or a career that you really want to do and enjoy. I really enjoyed the examples of individuals who created their own path to happiness by executing a thought out plan to advance their career. The general premise is that you should make active decisions and take responsibility for your own success.
While many of us know where we want to go, most of us are not willing to make the changes and put in the extra work to make it possible. This book reinforces this idea and provides some good tips and examples to assist with the journey. It's a motivational read for those out there looking for something more than a monotonous 8 to 5 job that they pretend to like in exchange for a paycheck.
The book reinforces a principle that I relay to every student in my office, that you need to find your passion in life.
This is a good read if you enjoy entrepreneur and self-help books.
