Purdue@WestGate

I had an awesome time listening to startup pitches and networking with fellow entrepreneurs at Purdue at Westgate in the Westgate@Crane Technology Park this last week.

They have a great crew that puts together monthly events, hosts a co-working space, and assists with technology transfer, finding funding, startup chats, etc.  Samantha Nelson and Jason Salstrom are doing great work. 

I was lucky enough to join a session that included Aaron Gillum of private equity and venture capital investment firm 50 South Capital and Ting Gootee, Chief Investment Office at venture capital fund Elevate Ventures. 

Indiana State University students gave an indoor tech demo of drones that included a look at a "cave rescue" drone that was built by students after the recent cave incident in Thailand.

Good stuff happening there!  If you are interested, they do events like this the first Tuesday of every month.  All events are free and open to the public!
